a brand new theater concept was born in Madrid: Microteatro por Dinero, where 50 artists among directors, playwrights and actors presented this theater project based in short plays performed in the different rooms of a former brothel in calle Ballesta, in the always hip and crowded neighborhood of Malasaña. It was the TriBall Association that offered Miguel Alcantud, founder and coordinator of the project, this now emblematic spot. In 2012, Microtheater landed in the United States thanks to Jorge Monje, who soon founded Microtheater Miami in partnership with CCEMiami. Microtheater Miami presents original 15 minute plays in English and Spanish inside shipping containers, creating a unique experience.
